Ganesh Charturi

Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi, in Hinduism is a 10-day festival marking the birth of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha, the god of prosperity and wisdom. It begins on the fourth day (chaturthi) of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September), the sixth month of the Hindu calendar.

Eid-al-Adha

Eid al-Adha is the latter of the two official holidays which are celebrated within Islam (the other being Eid al-Fitr). It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to Allah's command. The festival also marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Many Muslims make a special effort to wear new clothes, attend a prayer service in a mosque and listen to a sermon.

The world produces enough food for everyone, yet every 5 seconds a child dies of hunger or malnutrition.
